Here's what's happening in the market this morning:
U.S. stock futures are higher as Wall Street wraps up a strong first half. The Dow is up 8.6% in the first six months of 2026, its best first-half performance since 2021. The S&P 500 has gained over 8%, while the Nasdaq has jumped 11.1%. The Russell 2000 has surged more than 21%, heading for its best first half since 1991.
Stocks rallied Monday after the U.S. and Iran agreed to pause hostilities and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The S&P 500 rose 1.18%, and the Nasdaq gained 2.07%.
But underneath that rally, something broke.
