Good morning, everyone:
Are you ready to get active on a Friday? This is the perfect day to start trading - and the ideal time to be looking for new opportunities to make money…
Let’s start our day together with a community of traders… all today - live… ready for opportunities as they emerge… What are the things we’re watching this morning?
Fed Caution on Inflation
Fed Governor Michael Barr warned that inflation remains a risk and urged caution on further rate cuts, even as the labor market looks balanced. Markets will be listening closely to Fed speakers today for any hawkish or dovish shifts…
AI Valuations & Rotation Risk
The tech/AI rally continues to lead, but IMF and BoE officials are warning that stretched valuations could spark a sharp correction. Watch for signs of rotation into value or defensive sectors…. We’re getting active today on NVDA, PLTR, and AMZN. You in?
Dollar Strength & FX Watch
The dollar is holding firm while the yen and euro remain under pressure. That’s creating headwinds for multinationals and emerging markets. Moves in USD/JPY and EUR/USD will be key signals. Right now, the dollar IS the story. So many people have been trying to short the dollar, but the UUP continues to break higher (bullish for the dollar…)
Earnings in Focus
Earnings season is ramping up. Companies like Pepsi and Delta are setting the tone with results and guidance. Expect individual stock moves to become more influential as reports roll in. We’ll be looking at the banks come Tuesday when names like JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs report.
Bond Market Holiday Ahead
Reminder…
U.S. bond markets are closed on Monday for Columbus Day, though equities remain open.
That means limited rate discovery Monday, and possible yield “catch-up” moves Tuesday that could ripple into equities and FX.
We’ll show you how to prepare…
I’ll be live at 8:45 ET this morning… as always. It’s free and you just need to join me here… At 9 am… I’ll give readers the Runner… our breakout and breakdown list…
Again… the show and the handout are free… all you have to do is join the room.
See you there…
Stay positive,
